My Journey Begins

I have decided to share a bit of my journey with my followers and fans on Inkitt. I only really started writing about a year ago and I am amazed at just how much I have written in that year. I completed my first novel in November and even participated and completed the NaNoWrMo Challenge to write 50,000 words in the month of November. This was a huge step for me and it all started when I decided to post the part of a story that I started years ago just to see what the reactions would be. I got some positive feedback from that story and I hope that one day I will finish it. Maybe I will try to have that book as my Challenge for next November!

The same month that I posted my fantasy story Olanna's Tale, a friend of mine said we should write a book together. So we started to outline and develop characters and Blackwell was born. The story for Blackwell was created over the course of a year and was read and re-read by mostly me as my co-author got caught in a bit of a funk. I didn't really mind though as I was caught up in the story myself. As the story and the characters began to take shape before my eyes and across my screen the Blackwell series became a reality. I wanted to dive into the lives of these other characters, while still keeping track of the original couple. Blackwell Rising was completed in January of 2021 and is set to be released at the end of April. The story of Deadly Betrothed will be another post for another day.

This journey has been one of self discovery and hard work. I have found a renewed sense of self in a time in my life where nothing is making much sense. I know there are many people out there that feel the same way as we are really in some really strange times right now. I have met some absolutely wonderful people through this journey and I hope to meet more as the journey continues.
