Life is a Marathon not a Sprint
Over the last few months a lot of changes have taken place in my life. Most I did not see coming but they have taught me that life is a marathon not a sprint. I took up the Camp NaNoWriMo challenge this month and I have gotten a little behind because of life. However I am not given up on the challenge I am going to keep pushing forward and keep trying until the last day. I have made it to the half way point and I will keep writing and trying to catch up a little at a time. I tried to catch up all at once and that did not end very well. It ended with a migraine headache that sent me to bed with an ice pack over my eyes. While I was laying there with the ice over my eyes I made a realization that I can't write 5,000 words in a single day but what I can do is catch up a little at a time and complete the marathon on time rather than to try and make a sprint to the make up line and then tire myself out too much in order to keep on going. This is something that I believe we all need to remember when we are working our way towards our goals. Remember that the goal is there and even when we get behind or fall short we can always make it up in small bits and still win the race and make the goal.
